Never Forget The Basics

At V2, we believe in one timeless truth: the basics never go out of style.

Picture this: every week, you engage in the holy trinity of strength training – the squat, the hinge, and the press.

By hitting these fundamental movements twice a week, you'll give your body the stimulus it needs.

Whether it's leg day, Olympic lifts, or shoulder sessions, our tip? Give yourself those crucial recovery days in between muscle groups for optimal gains.

But here's the kicker – go heavy once or twice a week. Push your limits and awaken your central nervous system.

Also, jump hard. Reversing the ageing process and add kilos to your lifts with explosive plyometrics.

Never forget the timeless 5x5. It's the bread and butter of strength training, a scheme so basic yet so effective that it could keep you in peak form for a lifetime – as long as you sprinkle in some overload principles, of course.

Never forget to do your intervals. And even better, never forget to do your intervals on 1 machine only. No one loves 8 x 500m row repeats, but by golly do they work.

In a world obsessed with the latest gadgets and gizmos, keeping it real is the key. Fancy stuff may have its moment, but nothing beats good old-fashioned hard work.

Push yourself to an RPE of 9, eat your protein, eat your vegetables, drink plenty of water.

Multiply that by 365 days.

Multiply that by 10 years.

Simple.

Basics.

Consistent (That's the secret sauce).
